Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we look forward to the last full month of this school year, we have so much to celebrate! We also have much to learn during this time.  We are proud of our students and thank you for your trust and support as we strive to provide an optimal educational experience in an optimal educational environment! 

Community of Learners

On behalf of our students and staff, we invite you to join us as we present, A Community of Learners, to our Owen J. Roberts School Board and our Owen J. Roberts Community tonight at 7:30 P.M. in the LGI room of our high school.  Instead of taking the students to the board meeting, we are bringing the Board to East Vincent Elementary via technology!  Come help us celebrate our students and staff by being part of the audience tonight!  A Community of Learners, which showcases our students in different settings of learning, is second on the agenda.

Volunteers

Once again, our staff wishes to thank the many volunteers and coordinators of our wonderful Earth Day, our Fun Fair and our Book Fair previously held this month. These are some of the many events that help support our students this year.  Thank you everyone!  As our PTA plans for next year, we are asking you to consider serving on our PTA Board and/or on an important PTA committee.  Our PTA offers many opportunities to volunteer in support of our students.  Please contact our office for volunteer clearance information. 

Fourth Grade PSSA

Once again, our fourth grade students will be administered a Science PSSA assessment this week. The assessment will be administered in two different sessions Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Thank you, fourth grade parents and guardians, for encouraging your child and providing what he/she needs to feel confident and successful for this assessment. 

Kindergarten Roundup

The 2008 East Vincent Kindergarten Roundup will be Wednesday, May 7, 2008.  If you need more detailed information, please contact the East Vincent office at 610-469-5714.  Students and parents always have a great time at Kindergarten Roundup!

Behavior and Attendance 

Our staff and students have focused on maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment at East Vincent Elementary. Our kids are the greatest, and we expect the greatest behavior at school, on the bus, and at all off campus events where our students represent our school.  Thank you for your support with behavior and attendance!
